Students applying for international courses are required to have enough money to fund their studies. There should be enough money genuinely available to the students to enable them to pay for their preferred courses, travel expenses and other costs required for you and your family members during your stay in Australia. You can use our Student visa funds calculator to check if you have enough funds for an Australian Student visa. To provide evidence of financial capacity, you can exhibit this by offering one of the following:

12 months of funds option:

Offer evidence of funds to cover travel to Australia and 12 months living, course and (for school aged dependants) schooling costs for the student and accompanying family members. In case you are coming to Australia for a short course, you will only be required to show evidence of funds for the intended period of stay.

Annual income option:

This option requires you to offer evidence that you meet the annual income requirement.

Try using our calculator to evaluate the funds you need to show for an Australian visa (using the 12 month option).
